Attorney Allan Levine of New Brunswick, CAN; ethical gremlin

The Law Society of New Brunswick presented Allan Levine with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from the University of Brunswick School of Law.

The New Brunswick Law Society Disciplinary Counsel found Allan guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Made withdrawals for legal fees from his trust account without a billing or written notification having been delivered to the client
  • Withdrew monies from his trust account in contravention of the Uniform Trust Account Rules
  • Made disbursements from his trust account without supporting documentation contrary to the Uniform Trust Account Rules
  • Failed to obtain confirmation of an electronic funds transfer to his trust account contrary to the Uniform Trust Account Rules
  • Failed to promptly deposit client funds into his trust account within the first banking date of receipt of same contrary to the Uniform Trust Account Rules
  • Failed to maintain required trust account records

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Counsel punished Allan by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and assessed disciplinary costs of $5,500.00.

As we speak (ca. September 2020) Allan practices with the Allan J. Levine Law Office at 936 Main Street in Hampton, New Brunswick, Canada.
