Judge Perry Parker of Yuba City, CA; incompetent boob

The state of California presented Perry Michael Parker with a law license in 1981 after he graduated from the University of California Hastings School of Law.

It should be noted that former Gov. George Deukmejian was duped into appointing Perry as a Sutter County Superior Court Judge in 1989. Perry didn’t receive the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney in the greater Sutter County area, he received it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

Perry Parker is a judge for the Sutter County Superior Court in California. He was originally appointed to the Sutter County Municipal bench by former Governor George Deukmejian in 1989. He is registered as a Republican. Judge Parker received his B.A. from Pomona College.

In one matter, Jerry presided over a case instituted by two Northern California members of the State Assembly, James Gallagher, R-Yuba City, and Kevin Kiley, R-Rocklin attacking the vote-by-mail ballot that Gov. Gavin Newsom ordered be sent to every registered voter in California due to the COVIC-19 pandemic.

Shortly after the absurd lawsuit was filed, Perry decided to further establish his gross ignorance and incompetence when he granted a temporary restraining order (TRO) against implementation of Gov. Gavin’s order to send out vote-by-mail ballots. And he did so in an ex parte (one-sided) hearing thereby denying Gov. Gavin’s counsel any opportunity to be heard.

Subsequently, Gov. Newsom’s lawyers filed an appeal with the Third District Court of Appeal. In reversing Jerry’s asinine TRO order, the appellate court stated as follows.

• “Having not been properly notified of the ex parte hearing, the Governor did not appear in respondent [Jerry’s] superior court.”
• “Nevertheless, without any evidence that would support the immediate need to act at that time and without consideration of the Governor’s position, the superior court simply signed the proposed order presented by real parties in interest.” (Kiley and Gallagher)
• “This opinion commands the Sutter Superior Court [Perry] to vacate its temporary restraining order and deny ex parte [one-sided] relief.

It goes without saying that Perry doesn’t much give a damn when he’s overturned (rebuked in truth) by the appellate court since he is well aware that no California judge has ever been tossed off the bench for being an incompetent boob. In addition, he certainly isn’t concerned with the cost to the taxpayers of having his asinine ruling overturned.

As we speak (ca. September 2020), Perry continues to sit as a Sutter County Superior Court Judge in Yba City, California.
