The state of Ohio presented Michael Louis Bachman with a law license in 1984 after he graduated from Northern Kentucky University School of Law.
The Disciplinary Counsel of the Ohio Supreme Court found Mikey guilty of the following misconduct.

Agreed to fees of $80,000 to represent client in a criminal matter

Failed to advise client to obtain legal counsel to assist her in signing over her property to pay Chris’s attorney fees

Chris sold the client’s property for $135,000

After mortgage on client’s property was satisfied and expenses paid Chris received net proceeds of $127,767.02

Chris never advised his client of the sale of her property

Chris failed to inform his client that he received $127,767.02 for the sale of her property

Beginning in mid- 2011, client began contacting Chris to obtain the remaining money from the sale of her property

Client was not able to contact or schedule meeting with Chris to discuss payment of remaining funds from sale of her property

In August 2011, Chris told his client he believed she was not entitled to a refund since she had given him the property to cover his fees and therefore no refund was owing

As a result of the dispute between Chris and his client, the Shelby County prosecutor’s office became involved and requested the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (OBCI) to look into the matter

OBCI’s investigation led to criminal charges being filed against Chris

Chris pled guilty to felony unauthorized use of a client’s property and was sentenced to five years community control and fined $5,000
As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Mikey by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 2-year suspension of his law license.
As we speak (ca. September 2020) Chris practices at 28 Weston Road in Troy, Ohio.
