Attorney Robert A. Smith of Glens Falls, NY; ethical troll

The state of Ne presented Robert Andrew Smith with a law license in 1996 after he graduated from Union University Albany School of Law.  

The New York Judicial Commission is investigating Chief Justice Saylor for engaging in the following misconduct.

An ethics complaint has been filed by Judge Nikki Moreschi with the Advisory Committee on Judicial Ethics stating that Bobby has engaged in the following misconduct, all of which relates to his attempt to get elected as her replacement.

• Bobby improperly listed his name on election materials underneath “County & Surrogate Court Judge”
• Judge Ethics prohibits a judicial candidate from claiming he/she is a sitting judge when such a claim is false
• In placing his name under “County & Surrogate Court Judge” on campaign advertisements, Bobby attempted to imply to the public that he was an incumbent judge seeking reelection, a claim he knew to be false
• Bobby continued to use the phony ads until Judge Moreschi served him with a cease and desist notice
• During a fundraiser hosted at the West Mountain ski area in Queensbury that cost $50 per person to attend, people were to receive special recognition based upon their contribution levels, with those who contributed $1,000 or more were at the “felony” level. There was also a “misdemeanor” donation level of $500 and “violation” level for $250
• Pursuant to the Judicial Code of Conduct, a candidate is prohibited from knowing the identity of any donor in a judicial campaign

All that remains now is to what if any punishment is meted out to Bobby by the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Conduct Commission.
