Judge Marc Gross of Los Angeles; incompetent boob

The state of California provided presented Marc Dempsey Gross with a law license in 1981 after he graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) School of Law.

FYI: Former Gov. Jerry Brown was duped into appointing Marc as a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge in 2012. Marc didn’t receive the appointment because he was the most qualified attorney in the greater Los Angeles area. He received it because he had proven to be a reliable lackey for the local political hacks.

In one matter, Marc the Moron (M&M) was assigned to preside over a wrongful death suit against a Whittier obstetrician’s conduct in treating a patient who died of a rare immunodeficiency condition a month after giving birth.

During the pendency of the case, Marc ignorantly struck the expert medical testimony of the plaintiff and granted the defendant physician summary judgment on the issue. The plaintiff then appealed Marc’s asinine ruling to the District Court of Appeal. The appellate court reversed Marc’s ruling in striking the plaintiff’s medical expert testimony and in doing so made the following findings.

“Clear, reasoned expert testimony at trial was improperly stricken despite it raising triable issues of material fact.”

It goes without saying that Marc the Moron doesn’t much give a damn when he’s overturned (rebuked in truth) by the appellate court since he is well aware that no California judge has ever been tossed off the bench for being an incompetent boob. In addition, he isn’t concerned with the cost to the taxpayers of having his asinine ruling overturned.

As we speak (ca. August 2020), Marc continues to sit as a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge in Los Angeles, California.
