Attorney Roch Dupont of Saskatchewan, CAN; ethical troll

The Law Society of Saskatchewan presented Roch Dupont with a law license in 2014 after he graduated from the University of Saskatchewan School of Law.

The Law Society of Saskatchewan found Roch guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in conduct unbecoming an attorney
  • Failed to disclose or account for fees and disbursements charged to his client in a timely fashion
  • Failed to timely deliver a bill or other written notification to his client in connection with an invoice totaling $12,502.03
  • Paid out to third parties trust monies held on behalf of his client without the client’s consent or knowledge
  • Through recklessness, mislead a fellow lawyer, United States legal counsel for his client, by stating that he had sent the information the client was requesting on behalf of his client without regard for whether his statements were true or false

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Law Society of Saskatchewan disciplinary panel punished Roch by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand, a fine of $5,000.00, and assessed him costs of $12,990.00.

As we speak (ca. January 2021), Roch practices with Martin Dupont LLP at 1870 Albert Street in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.
