Attorney Samuel Hill of Mc Calla, AL; ethical troll

The state of Alabama presented Samuel Mark Hill with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from the University of Michigan School of Law.

The Alabama State Bar Association found Sammy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to comply with a court order regarding discovery after sanctions had been imposed against him (Screw you, said Sammy!)
  • Attempted to remove state litigation to federal court without a reasonably objective basis to do so, and, as a result, was sanctioned by the federal court
  • While representing a client in on-going litigation, Sammy attempted to communicate ex parte with the trial court and the presiding judge of the circuit on multiple occasions
  • Sammy made serious and unfounded allegations of misconduct against the trial judge and opposing counsel

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Alabama Supreme Court punished Sammy by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. August 2020), Sammy practices at 2450 Sadler Ridge Road in Mc Calla, Alabama.
