Barrister George Scott of England; ethical gremlin

The Law Society presented George Walter Hepburne Scott with a Barristers license in 1999 after he graduated from the University of Bristol School of Law.

The Bar Standards Board found George guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Behaved in a way which was likely to diminish the trust and confidence which the public places in him or in the profession
  • Uploaded a Defence Statement to the Crown Court Digital Case System when he knew the contents of the Defence Statement had not been approved by his client
  • Failed to act in the best interests of his client

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Barrister Misfits sitting on the Bar Standards Board punished Sami by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. August 2020), George practices with Church Court Chambers at the Goldsmith Buildings in London, United Kingdom.
