Barrister Alexia Zimbler of England; ethical ogre

The Law Society presented Alexia Zimbler with a Barristers license in 1993 after she graduated from the City University School of Law.

The Bar Standards Board found Alexia guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Behaved in a way which was likely to diminish the trust and confidence which the public places in him or in the profession
  • Accepted public access instructions directly from a lay client, when she had not completed the appropriate public access training and was not registered with the Bar Council to undertake public access work
  • Failed to take reasonable steps to manage her practice
  • Failed to take care to achieve complaint with her legal and regulatory obligations
  • Failed to take reasonable steps to manage her practice and to carry out her role within her practice competently

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Barrister Misfits sitting on the Bar Standards Board punished Alexia by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. August 2020), Alexia practices with the Maidstone Chambers at 51 Earl Street in Maidstone, London, United Kingdom.
