Barrister Lewis Perry of England; convicted loser

The Law Society presented Lewis Kenneth Perry with a Barristers license in 2002 after he graduated from the University of Bristol School of Law. 

The Bar Standards Board found Louie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Behaved in a way which was likely to diminish the trust and confidence which the public places in him or in the profession
• Convicted of violating the Housing Act 2004 in the Birmingham Magistrates’ Court
• As manager of a House in Multiple Occupation (HMO), failed to take all such measures as were reasonably required to protect the occupiers of the said HMO from injury
• Failed to maintain a powered interlinked fire alarm system with smoke detectors in each bedroom or the self-contained flat in the HMO
• Failed to provide heat detectors in kitchens in the HMO
• Failed to provide fire doors with intumescent strips, cold smoke seals and self-closing devices on the risk rooms opening onto the protected escape route at the HMO
• Failed to provide emergency lighting on the protected escape route at the HMO
• Failed to promptly report his conviction at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court of one count of not obtaining a license as required to do

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Barrister Misfits sitting on the Bar Standards Board punished Louie by gifting him with a complimentary £2000 ($2,579.00).

As we speak (ca. August 2020), Louie practices with Southall Chambers at 79 Friar Street in Worcester, United Kingdom.
