Attorney Nathan Elter of Lebanon, OH; slacker, loser

The state of Ohio provided Nathan James Elter with a law license in 1995 after he graduated from the University of Cincinnati School of Law.

The Warren County Bar Association found Nate guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to safeguard client funds
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to deposit client funds into his office trust account
  • Failed to communicate with client’s critical elements of the closing
  • Failed to provide the closing documents to client’s in advance of the closing
  • Failed to advise clients of the identity of the purchaser(s) prior to the closing.
  • Respondent failed to advise clients who was responsible for the closing costs
  • Never provided his clients with an itemization of how the retainers had been used until the day of the closing

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme punished Nate by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. July 2020), Nate practices with the Elter Law Office at 212 North Broadway Street in Lebanon, Ohio.
