The Arizona State Bar found Courtney guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

At time of arrest she announced to law enforcement that she was a lawyer, threatened officers that they would be fired, and made racially insensitive and demeaning comments to the officers

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Courtney by gifting her with a complimentary 6-month suspension of her law license.
