Attorney Jonathan Daily of DC; ethical goblin

The District of Columbia presented Jonathan C. Dailey with a law license in 1995 after he graduated from South Texas University School of Law.

The DC Bar Counsel found Johnny guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Wrote a check for $2,737.23 from his trust account to pay his office rent
  • $2,737.23 check rejected by bank due to insufficient funds (rubber)
  • Mismanaged his trust account
  • Failed to keep a ledger, accounting records, or similar documentation
  • Commingled $40,000 in non-client funds with client funds
  • Law Office of Jonathan C. Dailey

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the DC Court of Appeal punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. July 2020), Johnny practices his brand of law at 1101 30th Street NW in Washington, DC.
