Attorney Jason Van Dyke of Decatur, TX; ethical ogre

The state of Texas presented Jason Lee Van Dyke with a law license in 2007 after he graduated from Stetson University School of Law.

The 271st Judicial District Court of Wise County found Jason guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
  • Committed a serious crime or committed any other criminal act that reflects adversely on his honesty, trustworthiness or fitness as a lawyer in other respects

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Jason by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license. Additionally, he was ordered to pay $6,400 in investigative costs.

As we speak (ca. July 2020) Jason practices in Decatur, Texas.
