The state of New Jersey presented Cary Frieze with a law license in 1972 after he graduated from Columbia University School of Law.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Cary guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to comply with recordkeeping requirements
• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Cary!)
• Engaged in illegal practice of law while license suspended

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Cary by gifting him with a complimentary admonishment.
