Attorney Joseph Simantov of Elizabeth, NJ; ethical ogre

The state of New Jersey presented Joseph M. Simantov with a law license in 2003 after he graduated from the Brooklyn School of Law. Joey also received a law license to practice in New York in 2004 and Pennsylvania in 2012.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney found Joey guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
• Failed explain a matter to the extent reasonably necessary to permit the client to make informed decisions about the representation
• Failed to promptly comply with client information requests

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Joey by gifting him with a complimentary admonishment.  

And lastly, as one would suspect, Joey fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.jsimantov.com. Apparently, he chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. August 2020), Joey practices with The Simantov Law Firm PC at 100 Jefferson Avenue in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
