Attorney Augustine Jimenez III of Phoenix; ethical troll

The state of Arizona presented Augustine B. Jimenez III with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from Arizona State University School of Law.

The Arizona State Bar found Augie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Improperly withdrew unearned client funds from his trust account for over a year
  • Many of the improper withdrawals caused negative client balances and a deficit in his trust account
  • Failed to maintain general and client ledgers documenting the disbursement of funds from his trust account
  • Failed to perform three-way reconciliations of client trust accounts
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
  • Misconduct involved selfish or dishonest motive
  • Violated duties he owed to his clients
  • Dealt improperly with client property
  • Misconduct caused potential injury to a client

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Augie by gifting him with a complimentary 18-month suspension beginning in May 2019.

As we speak (ca. July 2020) Augie will resume his practice of law in January 2021 at 2999 North 44th Street in Phoenix, Arizona.
