Judge Gérard Dugré of Montreal, CAN; ethical ogre

FYI: This is the fifth (5th) time that Paulie will have to appear before a disciplinary tribunal following complaints lodged against him.

The Canadian Judicial Council has found Paulie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Used intemperate and inappropriate language
  • Improperly delayed in issuing decisions
  • Engaged in a pattern of failing to issue decisions promptly
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Took over nine months to issue decision in divorce/family-related matter
  • Acted in an intimidating manner in railing to allow parties to provide their views
  • Refused to allow parties to make their arguments appropriately
  • In some instances, was threatening when dealing with parties appearing before him

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Gérard by the apologists for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Canadian Judicial Council.

As we speak (ca. June 2020), Judge Dugré continues to sit as a Quebec Superior Court judge in Montreal, Canada.
