Solicitor James O’Mahony of Dublin, Ireland; ethical ogre

The Law Society provided Shane M. Allen with a solicitor’s license in 1997 after he graduated from Queen’s University School of Law.

The Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal found Jimmy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to ensure there was furnished to the Society an accountant’s annual report
  • Showed disregard for his statutory obligations to comply with the Solicitors’ Accounts Regulations
  • Showed disregard for the Society’s statutory obligation to monitor compliance with the Solicitors’ Accounts Regulations for the protection of clients and the public

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary admonishment and fined in the amount of €500.

As we speak (ca. July 2020), Jimmy practices James O’Mahony, Solicitor, at 16 Stoneybatter in Dublin, Ireland.
