Attorney Beley Fishman of Winnipeg, CAN; scamming loser

The Law Society of Manitoba presented Beley Fishman with a law license in 1977 after she graduated from the University of Manitoba School of Law.

The Manitoba Law Society Disciplinary Counsel found Beley of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Instructed his client to swear a second affidavit in support of her motion for financial disclosure after her motion had been deemed abandoned pursuant to Queen’s Bench Rules
• Failed to advise client motion was deemed abandoned
• The affidavit in support of the motion for financial disclosure was never filed by Beley in Queen’s Bench, notwithstanding his advice to the client that it had been
• Advised his client that he had not received recent communication from opposing counsel when in fact numerous written communications had been received from opposing counsel some of which dated back for some time
• Was unduly dilatory in responding to inquiries from his client regarding her domestic matter and in addressing legal issues on her behalf

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Counsel punished Beley by gifting him with a complimentary $1,500 fine and assessed costs of $2,500.00.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Beley and his firm fail to mention the misconduct set forth above on their self-serving website at www.fbfamilylaw.mb.ca. Apparently, they chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting their future victim pool.
