Attorney Kevin Begley of Matawan, NJ; slacker, repeat offender

The state of New Jersey presented Kevin J. Begley with a law license in 1997 after he graduated from Widener University School of Law.

FYI: Widener is ranked as the 170th best law school in the country out of 200 ABA (American Bar Association) accredited law schools.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Kevin guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Failed to expedite client litigation
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Kevin!)
  • Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
  • Failed to promptly pay annual license fee (deadbeat)
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Kevin’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary admonition for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Kevin by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. June 2020), Kevin practices at 96 Main Street in Matawan, New Jersey.
