Attorney Paul Dougherty of Haddon Heights, NJ; convicted of conspiracy

The state of New Jersey presented Paul Dougherty with a law license in 1995 after he graduated from Widener University School of Law.

FYI: Widener is ranked as the 170th best law school in the country out of 200 ABA (American Bar Association) accredited law schools.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Paulie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Pled guilty third-degree conspiracy to confer an unlawful benefit to a public servant
  • As Township Commissioner, Paulie received a $7,106 referral fee from a certified civil trial attorney to whom he had referred a
  • Township employee, for the purpose of pursuing a claim against the Township

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Paulie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. June 2020), Paulie practices at 133 High Street in Haddon Heights, New Jersey.
