The state of Iowa presented Jesse Marzen with a law license in 2004 after he graduated from St. Thomas School of Law
The Supreme Court Disciplinary Board charged Jesse with the following misconduct:
During the time of the misconduct, Jesse supplemented his income as an attorney by working for the Floyd County Attorney’s Office. Apparently no self-respecting law firm in the As a consequence of his misconduct the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Iowa Supreme punished Jesse by gifting him with a complimentary 6 month suspension of his law license.
At a hearing for reinstatement before the Supreme Court, Jesse the Comic said “I am of good moral character and fit to practice law.” The comedians on the Court bought Jesse’s one-liner and reinstated his law license in February 2012
As we speak (ca. April 2012) Jesse practices law at 607 I Street in Charles City, Iowa which is about 50 miles north of Waterloo.
