Solicitor John Harte of Kilkenny, Ireland; ethical troll

The Law Society of Ireland presented John B. Harte with a law license in 1992 after he graduated from Queen’s University School of Law.

The Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal found Johnny guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to comply with an undertaking to have a defunct public right of way to a well removed as a burden from a Land Registry folio in a timely manner or at all
  • Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Johnny!)
  • Failed to respond to 13 letters from the complainants to him prior to their making a complaint to the society (Screw them, said Johnny!)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary censure and imposed a fine of  €5,000.

As we speak (ca. August 2020), Johnny practices with James Harte & Son, 39 Parliament Street in Kilkenny, Ireland.
