Attorney Jerome Dobson of St. Louis, MO; ethical troll

The state of Missouri presented Jerome J. Dobson with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from George Washington University School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Jerome guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Sent letters Washington University staff, bypassing general counsel, on behalf of his clients in employment cases
  • Violated professional conduct rule regarding communication with a person represented by counsel
  • Communicated directly with his client’s supervisors at Washington University, despite knowing that the university was represented by counsel and had "explicitly asked" to communicate with the university's counsel
  • Improperly wrote directly to Washington University's executive supervisor on behalf of one of his clients

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary punished Jerome by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Jerome and his firm fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on their self-serving website at www.dbrstl.com. Apparently, they decided to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients so that they would not limit their future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. May 2020), Jerome practices with Dobson Berns & Rich at 5017 Washington Place in St. Louis, Missouri.
