Attorney Michael Gunter of Kansas City, MO; ethical ogre

The state of Missouri presented Michael Joseph Gunter with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from the University of Missouri School at Kansas City School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Mikey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Engaged in sexual relationship with a client
• Violated professional conduct rules regarding representing a client with a concurrent conflict of interest,
• Violated rules regarding improper termination of representation and informing a client about limitations of legal services that can be provided

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Mikey fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.mgunterlaw.com. Apparently, he decided to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients so that he would not limit his future victim pool.
