Attorney Russell Brown of Saline, MI; cheating slacker

The state of Michigan presented Russell D. Brown with a law license in2000 after he graduated from Wayne State University School of Law.

The Tri-County Hearing Panel #10 found Russ guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to promptly deliver funds that a client or third party was entitled to receive
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Failed to deposit advance fees in a client trust account
  • Failed to protect a client’s interests upon termination of the representation
  • Failed to return an unearned fee (cheater)
  • Failed to draft business documents he was hired to prepare in a timely manner

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Russ by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Russ fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.mediation.com. Apparently, he decided to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients so that he would not limit his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. May 2020), Russ practices with RD Brown PLC at 543 Marlpool Drive in Saline, Michigan.
