Attorney Richard Schwartz of Raleigh, NC; ethical ogre

The state of North Carolina presented Richard A. Schwartz with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Dick guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Engaged in a conflict of interest
• Failed to advise parents involved in sexual assault allegations v. their sons that Dick was employed to represent the interests of the school involved in the matter
• Failed to disabuse parents that he was not an independent investigator

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Dick by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. June 2020), Dick practices at 19 West Hargett Street in Raleigh, North Carolina.
