Attorney Thomas Urquhart of Ahoskie, NC; scamming loser

The state of North Carolina presented Thomas M. Urquhart with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from North Carolina Central University of School of Law.

FYI: North Carolina Central University School of Law is ranked as the 168th best law school in the country out of 200 ABA (American Bar Association) accredited law schools.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Tommy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
  • Knew that Mildred Whitley had not signed the power of attorney
  • Knowing that Whitley had not signed the power of attorney he instructed that his paralegal illegally notarize the document even though Whitley was not present at the time
  • Based upon the sham power of attorney, Tommy prepared and signed other trust documents for Whitley

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Tommy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. May 2021), Tommy practices at 421 Colony Avenue North in Ahoskie, North Carolina.
