Attorney Lisa Rogers of Raleigh, NC; lying loser

The state of North Carolina presented Lisa N. Rogers with a law license in 1995 after she graduated from Widener University School of Law.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Lisa guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Caused significant harm to former husband and purported client
• Engaged in a flagrant conflict of interest in representing husband in divorce action that involved Lisa
• Failed to explain to former husband the legal matters for which you provided legal services to the extent reasonably necessary to permit him to make informed decision regarding the representation
• Lied to her former husband by telling him there would be no need for him to consult with another lawyer about the divorce between him and Lisa

As a direct consequence of her misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Lisa by gifting her with a complimentary censure.  

As we speak (ca. May 2021), Lisa practices in Raleigh, North Carolina.
