Attorney James Langdon of Charlotte, NC; lying slacker

The state of North Carolina presented James R. Langdon with a law license in 1996 after she graduated from Wake Forest University School of Law.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Lied to client the true status of the actions against account debtors
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty, or misrepresentation
  • Lied to his client he had filed a lawsuit on the client’s behalf

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the North Carolina Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Jimmy.

As we speak (ca. October 2020) Jimmy practices with Moore & Van Allen PLLC at 100 North Tryon Street in Charlotte, North Carolina.
