Attorney Christopher Mauriello of Cornelius, NC; ethical gnome

The state of North Carolina presented Christopher D. Mauriello with a law license in 1998 after he graduated from Nova Southeastern University School of Law.

FYI: Nova Southeastern is ranked as the 166th best law school in the country out of 202 ABA accredited schools.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Chris guilty of the following misconduct.

• Conduct caused extreme stress to clients and delayed their move into their new home
• Assisted Capitol Closings to engage in the illegal practice of law
• Responsibility to the buyers, Chris’s clients went beyond simply certifying title to the property
• Closing on properly delayed by Chris’s conduct for over a month due to the delay in getting the actual payoff amount on the seller’s property

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Chris by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Chris fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.mauriellolaw.com. Apparently, Chris decided it was in his best financial interest to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients so that he would not limit his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. October 2020) Chris practices with the Mauriello Law Offices PC at 19810 West Catawba Avenue in Cornelius, North Carolina.
