Attorney Carl Hall III of Charlotte, NC; ethical troll

The state of North Carolina presented Carl Wells Hall III with a law license in 1973 after he graduated from Duke University School of Law.

The Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar found Carl guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Drafted wills and powers of attorney for husband and wife were, executed in the presence of only one disinterested witness, when the law required tow disinterested witnesses be present
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Jeopardized clients’ will and thereby intentionally prejudiced or damaged his clients during the professional relationship

As a direct consequence of his misconduct the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Grievance Committee of the North Carolina State Bar punished Carl by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Carl and his firm fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.nelsonmullins.com. Apparently, Carl and his firm decided to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients so that they would not limit their future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. June 2020) Carl practices with Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP at 301 South College Street in Charlotte, North Carolina.
