The State of Oregon presented Mareesa M. Elmquist with a law license in 1999 after she graduated from Lewis & Clark School of Law.

The Disciplinary Counsel found Mareesa guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in the illegal practice of law while license suspended
• Made misleading comments about practice of law
• Misrepresented herself as being lawfully engaged in the practice of law
• Misconduct involved multiple offenses

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Mareesa by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.
