• Recklessly permitted £102,058 (US. $124,809.00) relating to her caravan park and bed and breakfast business to be paid into and held in her firm’s client bank account without any underlying legal transaction
• Withdrew or permitted money to be withdrawn in a client matter of from her firm’s general client account in excess of the money held on behalf of that client, resulting in a cash shortage
• Failed to carry out required periodic client account reconciliations
• Failed to remedy breaches promptly upon discovery of same

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Tribunal punished Valerie by gifting her with a complimentary fine of £15,000 (US $18,340.00).
