Solicitor Mark Williams of Surrey, England; slacker, loser

The Law Society presented Mark Williams with a law license in 1992.

The Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal found Mark guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to pay and/or delayed in paying professional disbursements which had been paid to his firm by the Legal Aid Agency
  • Delayed in sending a client file to the Criminal Cases Review Commission for a period of 14 months
  • Failed to deliver a cease-to-hold accountant’s report within six months of ceasing to hold client money
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Solicitor Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Tribunal punished Mark by gifting him with a complimentary fine of £3,000 (US $3,666.73) and ordered to pay costs of £2,029 (US $2,479.93).

As we speak (ca. May 2020), Mark practices with W. Davies & Son Limited at 5 Chertsey Road in Woking, Surrey, England.
