Attorney Richard Bowen of Springfield, VT; ethical gnome

The State of Vermont presented Richard K. Bowen with a law license in 1986 after he graduated from the University of Vermont School of Law.

The Vermont Bar Court found Dick guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Used information relation to client representation to their disadvantage without their informed consent and without other permission or requirement
• Used closing date, terms, and purchase price of a property clients were about to buy to obtain an ex parte writ of attachment against the property in attempt to collect a debt
• Revealed information relating to former client without permission relating to client’s divorce

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the patron saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Vermont Bar Court punished Dick by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. May 2020), Dick practices at 56 Main Street in Springfield, Vermont.
