Attorney Fernando Chavez of San Jose, CA; ethical troll 

The state of California provided Fernando Fabela Chavez with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from Santa Clara University School of Law.

The California State Bar Court found Fernando guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to properly maintain his trust account
• Grossly negligent misappropriations [thefts] of $65,000 from one client and $10,000 from another
• Misconduct involved multiple acts of wrongdoing
• Clients were significantly harmed by Fernando’s misconduct
• Commingled client funds with personal funds
• Failed to obey a court order (Up yours, said Fernando!)
• Ordered to pay $23,500 in restitution plus 10% interest per year

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the State Bar Court punished Fernando by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.
