Attorney Andrew Smith of Houston; ethical goblin

The state of Texas provided Andrew Christopher Smith with a law license in 2010 after he graduated from the University of Houston School of Law.

The District 4 Grievance Committee found Andy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
  • Failed to comply with client information requests
  • Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Up yours, said Andy!)
  • Engaged in illegal practice of law while license suspended

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Andy by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 3-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Texas Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Andy.

As one would suspect, Charlie and his firm fail to mention the misconduct set forth above on their self-serving website at www.charlesskinnerlaw.com.  Apparently, they decided to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients so that he would not limit his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. May 2020), Andy practices at 4905 Travis Street in Houston, Texas.
