Attorney Paul Harper Jr.  of Indianapolis, IN; thieving slacker

The state of Indiana provided Paul Richard Harper Jr. with a law license in 2001 after he graduated from the University of Akron School of Law.

FYI: The University of Akron is ranked as the 147th best law school in the country out of 200 ABA (American Bar Association) accredited law schools.

The Indiana Disciplinary Commission found Paulie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to abide by client decisions regarding objectives of representation
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Committed criminal acts adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
  • Failed to comply with client information requests
  • Failed to return unearned fee (crook)
  • Failed to protect client interests upon termination
  • Pled guilty to driving under the influence (DUI), a Class D Felony
  • Neglected client small claims case
  • Failed to respond to numerous client calls
  • Arrested and charged with second DUI, Class D Felony, and misdemeanor public intoxication

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Indiana Supreme Court punished Paulie by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. May 2020), Paulie practices at 155 East Market Street in Indianapolis, Indiana.
