Attorney Jay C.P. Damen of Alberta, CAN; deceitful loser

The Law Society of Alberta presented Jay C.P. Damen with a law license in 1992 after he graduated from the University of Alberta School of Law.

The Alberta Law Society Disciplinary Counsel found Jay guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

In one matter, Jay failed to be candid when he entered into a business transaction by purchasing matrimonial property from his client and opposing party (former spouse) without that party's knowledge that he was to become the ultimate purchaser.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Counsel punished Jay by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and assessed costs at $6,335.23.

As one would suspect, Jay fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.guardianlaw.ca. Apparently, Jay and his firm decided to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients so that it would not limit their future victim pool.
