The Office of Disciplinary Counsel of Montana (ODC) found Jeff guilty of the following misconduct.

Failed to maintain a notary journal memorializing the signing of documents and authentication of signatures

Notarized documents that were not signed in his presence, including documents purportedly baring the signatures of the members of his law firm

Acted dishonestly and in violation of his notary certificate which required the personal presence of the

Affixed his notarial seal, certificate, and signature on documents that were either unsigned (to be signed by the signatory at a later time) or already bared the purported signatures of the members of the LLC, including personal guarantees by the members of promissory notes obtained for the firm

Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Montana Supreme Court punished Jeff by gifting him with a complimentary admonition.
