Attorney Debra Pierce of Fort Pierce, FL; ethical goblin

The state of Florida presented Debra Hendry Pierce with a law license in 1981 after she graduated from Gonzaga University School of Law.

The State Bar of Florida found Debbie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Improperly provided financial assistance to a client in connection with pending or contemplated litigation
• Utilized trust funds for purposes other than those for which they were entrusted
• Failed to maintain a cash and receipts disbursement journal identifying the client or matter, the check numbers, and the reason for which all trust funds were received, disbursed, or transferred

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Statewide Grievance Committee punished Debbie by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. May 2020), Debbie practices with the Office of Administrative Hearings in Fort Pierce, Florida.
