Attorney Jonathan Steinberg of New York City; ethical ogre

The State of New York provided Jonathan R. Steinberg with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from New York (NYU) University School of Law.

The Department Disciplinary Board found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to pay duly imposed sanctions
  • Commenced fraudulent conveyance action that lacked merit
  • Sent ex-parte (one-sided) emails to judge overseeing a matter in which he represented the defendant and attacked the judge’s
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. May 2020), Johnny practices at 575 Lexington Avenue in New York, New York.
