Attorney Roger Moore of Albuquerque, NM; ethical troll

The state of New Mexico presented Roger Moore with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Law.

The New Mexico Disciplinary Board found Roger guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to pay chiropractor bill for treatment provided to his client, despite having issued a letter stating payment would be made from the settlement
  • Roger’s trust account balance fell below the amount indicated on his ledgers that he should be holding for clients
  • Failed to disburse his client's settlement funds in accordance with the letter agreeing to same
  • Failed to maintain required trust account records
  • Audit of Roger’s trust account revealed systemic problems with his trust account maintenance and record keeping
  • Failed to maintain copies of deposit slips, a check register, or a complete copy of all checks written
  • Failed to perform required trust account reconciliations
  • Failed to discharge his trust account obligations

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Mexico Supreme Court punished Roger by gifting him with a complimentary 18-month suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. April 2020), Roger practices with the Roger Moore Law Office at 1101 Cardenas Drive NE in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
