Attorney David Reynolds of Placitas, NM; thieving loser

The state of New Mexico presented David G. Reynolds with a law license in 1982 after he graduated from Southern Methodist University (SMU) School of Law.

The New Mexico Disciplinary Board found Davey guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Firm discovered that Davey had misappropriated several checks made payable to the firm from one of its clients in the amount of $44,069.44
  • Firm also discovered that Davey had misappropriated several checks that should have been deposited in the special trust account that the firm had established for the estate of a client
  • At least $11,500 00 was missing from the special estate trust account
  • Engaged in an elaborate scheme to conceal his misappropriation of funds from others in the firm and from the firm's clients
  • Converted most, if not all, of the funds to his own use by making unauthorized withdrawals from his trust account for the purpose of paying his personal expenses and debts
  • Concealed his misappropriation [thefts] of estate funds from the firm's special trust account by attempting to replenish the account before quarterly distributions were made to the beneficiaries and others entitled to a percentage of those funds
  • Some of the funds that respondent used to replenish the firm's special trust account, however, were derived from the checks from one of the firm's clients that respondent had previously misappropriated [stolen]
  • Engaged in conduct that he knew to be criminal or fraudulent
  • Failed to hold funds of clients or third persons that were in his possession in connection with a representation in a separate account Failed to keep complete records of such account funds in a manner that conforms to the requirements
  • Failed to promptly notify a client or third persons of the receipt of funds in which that person has an interest
  • Failed to promptly deliver to the client or third persons any funds that the client or third persons are entitled to receive
  • Engaged in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflects on his fitness to practice law

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Mexico Supreme Court punished Kenny by gifting him with a complimentary 1-year suspension of his law license.

Because Attorney Misfits in New Mexico are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Davey was never criminally prosecuted for grand theft.

As one would suspect, Kenny fails to mention the above misconduct on his self-serving website www.reynoldslawoffice.org. Apparently, he chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. September 2020), Kenny practices with Samuel I. Kane PA at 1018 East Amador Avenue in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
