Attorney Thomas Popovich of McHenry, IL; scamming deadbeat

The state of Illinois presented Thomas J. Popovich with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from DePaul University School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Tommy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

In one matter, Tommy attempted to mislead his then-spouse about his law firm’s income, Tommy distributed checks to clients and created entries in internal firm records that understated the amount the firm received as fees in two personal injury cases.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Counsel punished Tommy by gifting him with a complimentary 4-month suspension of his law license.

As one would suspect, Tommy failed to mention the aforementioned misconduct on his website at www.popovichlaw.com. Apparently, Tommy chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. June 2020), Tommy practices with the Law Offices of Thomas J. Popovich PC at 3416 West Elm Street in McHenry, Illinois.
