Judge Salvador Sarmiento of Orange County, CA; ticket-fixer, loser   The state of California presented Salvador Sarmiento with a law license in 1977 after he graduated from UCLA.
In July 1977 Salvador succeeded in duping the 112 Orange County Superior Court Judges into electing him as a County Court Commissioner. In 2003, Salvador succeeded in duping former Gov. Gray Davis into appointing him as Orange County Superior Court Judge.
Salvador didn’t receive his appointment because he was the most qualified attorney in Orange County. He received it because he had dedicated his career as a compliant and reliable lackey for the local political hacks in and around Orange County.
In early 2012 the Calfiornia Judicial Commission charged Salvador with misconduct. That misconduct involved Salvador’s attempt to fix a traffic ticket issued to his wife for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk in late 2010. The Court sent several notices to Salvador’s wife to pay the $234 ticket, which she repeatedly ignored including a warning that a late fee of $300 would be charged.
Salvador repeatedly contacted Court Commissioner Carmen Luege in Orange County to intervene on behalf of his wife in regards basically fixing the traffic ticket.
Here we have a total loser who earns nearly $180,000 a year as a judge who believes his wife can ignore payment of a $234 traffic ticket and a $300 late fee.
The Calfiornia Judicial Commission has an abysmal record in disciplining judicial misfits; therefore, it is likely that the only punishment Salvador will receive is a complimentary reprimand.
As we speak (ca. April 2012) Salvador continues to sit on the Superior Court in Orange County.
