Attorney Manuel Hernandez of Bandon, OR; thieving moron

The State of Oregon presented Manuel C. Hernandez with a law license in 1987 after he graduated from Williamette University School of Law.

FYI: Williamette University School of Law is ranked as the 178th best law school in the country out of 202 ABA (American Bar Association) accredited law schools

The Disciplinary Counsel found Manny guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Neglected legal matter entrusted to him
  • Failed to maintain property of others in trust
  • Failed to withdraw when withdrawal was mandated
  • Collected an illegal fee (thief)
  • Failed to provide competent representation (moron)
  • Failed to sufficiently advise client of or follow statutory requirements governing the handling of estate assets, including failing to timely file an annual accounting and allowing a partial distribution of probate assets prior to final settlement and distribution
  • Collected fee without obtaining required probate court approval
  • Engaged in a conflict of interest
  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Manny by gifting him with a complimentary 90-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. April 2020), Manny practices with Hernandez & Associates LLC at 1212 Alabama in Bandon, Oregon.
