Attorney Cory Larvik of La Grande, OR; ethical troll

The State of Oregon presented Cory J. Larvik with a law license in 1998 after he graduated from the University of Oregon School of Law.

The Disciplinary Counsel found Cory guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Filed petition in probate court with misleading notary certificate that did not comply with Oregon law governing notarial acts
  • Failed to advise client he had filed motion to withdraw representation prior to filing same
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Made false statements of fact to a tribunal
  • Failed to properly supervise office staff
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Cory by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license.

As one would suspect, Cory and fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.larviklaw.com. Apparently, he decided to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients so that he would not limit his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. April 2020), Cory practices at 2202 Cove Avenue in La Grande, Oregon.
